WHAT TO EXPECT

Global Players (GP) Team Tours are based on the philosophy that participants will be travelers, not only tourists, by the end of their trip. Our programming focuses on Athletes and Teams being immersed in the Host Culture by:

Staying at hip hostels, homestays, or 3-4* star hotels—you choose.
Breaking into smaller groups for an authentic experience
Taking local transport as much as possible
Cooking classes with local ingredients
Market, Museum, and City Tours

PRICING

We believe travel is for everyone. Therefore we offer three (3) pricing options for Teams with different Budgets:

Option 1: $95 per person — Program Deposit + Development Everyone starts here. In this stage, we create a Custom Itinerary based on your Sport, Dates, Destination, and Tour Vision. Then you get a ‘live’ version with direct links/contacts to GP Partners all over the world including Teams, Tournaments, Tours, Travel, Accommodation, Restaurants and more. If saving money is a priority, you can save up to $500-800 per person making bookings directly with GP Partners supporting you in-country.
Option 2: $495 per person — We make the Bookings No time? No problem. If you would like Global Players to make the bookings for Tours 10 days or more, we can do that. Once everything is booked and paid in full, you will meet directly with our amazing GP Partners in-country. These are the same Partners we use!
Option 3: $2495 per person — Full Execution + Program Leader If you would like a full-time Program Leader with your Tour, this option is for you. Global Players will make the bookings for you and lead the trip in-country. Your Program Leader is with the group 24/7, providing local insight and handling on-tour logistics.

HOW IT WORKS

We created 5-day Tours to mix-n-match! To build a 10-day tour, choose 2 cities, enter you preferred Start Date, # of Travelers, and add both to your cart.

Booking: During checkout, please indicate your TEAM NAME and if you would like Option 2 or 3 under “add a note to your order”. If Athletes are paying separately, make sure everyone selects the same Tour(s) and Option. One point person is designated to work with Global Players, for example a Coach or Team Manager.

Payments: If you choose Option 2 or 3, you will have 3 payments. The non-refundable Deposit ($195 per person) is charged at booking to start your Program Development. We will bill you later for the Booking Fee ($300 per person) and Remaining Balance (variable).

Next Steps: Once your Booking is received, a dedicated GP Tour Consultant will contact you to start planning your Tour!

Day 1: Arrival Day

Morning: Welcome to Italy 💜
Arrive in Venice and settle into accommodation.
Welcome briefing and orientation by tour guides.

Afternoon: Walking Tour 🏙️
Guided walking tour to iconic sights like St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace.
Light practice session to shake off travel fatigue.

Evening: Welcome Dinner 🍽️
Welcome dinner at Antico Martini, a historic restaurant near St. Mark’s Square.
Training with Local or National Teams if possible.

Day 2: Extreme Sports and Cultural Immersion

Morning: Breakfast and Cultural Orientation 🌄

Late Morning: Training Session 🔥
Intensive training session with a Local or National Team.

Afternoon: Bike Tour 🚴‍♀️
Bike tour along the Grand Canal, exploring the city’s hidden gems.
Free time for lunch.

Late Afternoon: Adventure Sports 🪂
Afternoon of adventure sports like water skiing or windsurfing in the Venice Lagoon.
Lunch at a local restaurant.

Evening: Team Dinner 🍽️
Team dinner at restaurant known for its traditional Venetian seafood dishes.

Day 3: Day Trip to Murano

Morning: Boat Trip 🚤
Boat trip to Murano Island for a Glassblowing Demonstration.
Team-building activities at a local Murano park.

Afternoon: Return to Venice 💪
Return to Venice.

Evening: Team Dinner 🍽️
Group dinner at a restaurant offering a mix of Venetian and Italian cuisine.
Team meeting and reflection on the day’s experiences.

Day 4: Professional Sports and Opera Night

Morning: Professional Sporting Event 🏟️
Morning training session with a Local or National Team.
Attend a professional water polo match or rowing competition.

Afternoon: Free Time 🛍️
Free time to explore or rest.

Evening: Opera Night 🎭
Opera night at Teatro La Fenice, one of the world’s most famous opera houses.

Day 5: Farewell and Friendly Match

Morning: Friendly Match 🏆
Participate in a friendly game against a Local or National Team.
Post-match ceremony and group photo.

Afternoon: Leisure Time 🛶
Enjoy a gondola ride on the Grand Canal for a unique perspective of the city.

Evening: Farewell Dinner 🍽️
Farewell dinner and celebration at a seafood-focused restaurant.
Closing remarks and reflections on the trip.

DAY 6: Travel Day

Breakfast + Travel day✈️: return home with language basics, travel skills, new friends, and lifelong memories!

The historical centre of Venice is made up of six districts (sestiere): Cannaregio, Dorsoduro, Castello, Santa Croce, San Polo and San Marco. Divided in two by the Grand Canal, the districts of Cannaregio, Castello and San Marco occupy the northern part of the historical centre of Venice, while to the south of the Grand Canal we find the Santa Croce, San Polo and Dorsoduro districts. The Dorsoduro district also incorporates the Island of Guidecca Each of the six sestiere has its own unique character and specific attractions.
