WHAT TO EXPECT

Global Players (GP) Team Tours are based on the philosophy that participants will be travelers, not only tourists, by the end of their trip. Our programming focuses on Athletes and Teams being immersed in the Host Culture by:

Staying at hip hostels, homestays, or 3-4* star hotels—you choose.
Breaking into smaller groups for an authentic experience
Taking local transport as much as possible
Cooking classes with local ingredients
Market, Museum, and City Tours

PRICING

We believe travel is for everyone. Therefore we offer three (3) pricing options for Teams with different Budgets:

Option 1: $95 per person — Program Deposit + Development Everyone starts here. In this stage, we create a Custom Itinerary based on your Sport, Dates, Destination, and Tour Vision. Then you get a ‘live’ version with direct links/contacts to GP Partners all over the world including Teams, Tournaments, Tours, Travel, Accommodation, Restaurants and more. If saving money is a priority, you can save up to $500-800 per person making bookings directly with GP Partners supporting you in-country.
Option 2: $495 per person — We make the Bookings No time? No problem. If you would like Global Players to make the bookings for Tours 10 days or more, we can do that. Once everything is booked and paid in full, you will meet directly with our amazing GP Partners in-country. These are the same Partners we use!
Option 3: $2495 per person — Full Execution + Program Leader If you would like a full-time Program Leader with your Tour, this option is for you. Global Players will make the bookings for you and lead the trip in-country. Your Program Leader is with the group 24/7, providing local insight and handling on-tour logistics.

HOW IT WORKS

We created 5-day Tours to mix-n-match! To build a 10-day tour, choose 2 cities, enter you preferred Start Date, # of Travelers, and add both to your cart.

Booking: During checkout, please indicate your TEAM NAME and if you would like Option 2 or 3 under “add a note to your order”. If Athletes are paying separately, make sure everyone selects the same Tour(s) and Option. One point person is designated to work with Global Players, for example a Coach or Team Manager.

Payments: If you choose Option 2 or 3, you will have 3 payments. The non-refundable Deposit ($195 per person) is charged at booking to start your Program Development. We will bill you later for the Booking Fee ($300 per person) and Remaining Balance (variable).

Next Steps: Once your Booking is received, a dedicated GP Tour Consultant will contact you to start planning your Tour!

Day 1: Arrival Day

Morning: Welcome to Spain 💜
Arrive in Madrid and settle into accommodation.
Welcome briefing and orientation by tour guides.

Afternoon: Walking Tour 🏙️
Guided walking tour of central Madrid, including Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor.
Team-building activities in Retiro Park.

Evening: Welcome Dinner 🍽️
Welcome dinner at one of the oldest restaurants in the world.
Training with Local or National Teams if possible.

Day 2: Extreme Sports and City Exploration

Morning: Breakfast and Cultural Orientation 🌄

Late Morning: Training Session 🔥
Intensive training session with a Local or National Team.

Afternoon: Bike Tour 🚴‍♀️
Bike tour through the historic neighborhoods of La Latina and Lavapiés.
Free time for lunch.

Late Afternoon: Adventure Sport Session 🏞️
Extreme sports activities, such as rock climbing or zip-lining in Casa de Campo Park.

Evening: Team Dinner 🍽️
Team dinner at a vibrant food market.

Day 3: Day Trip

Morning: Day Trip 🚆
Day trip to Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage site with historic architecture.
Free time to explore Toledo.

Afternoon: Return to Madrid 💪
Return to Madrid for team training at a local sports facility.

Evening: Team Dinner 🍽️
Team Dinner followed by reflection on the day’s experiences.

Day 4: Professional Sports and Cultural Evening

Morning: Professional Match 🏟️
Morning training session with a Local or National Team.
Attend a professional basketball or soccer match.

Afternoon: Tapas Tour 🍤
Tapas and wine tasting tour in the vibrant La Latina district.

Evening: Flamenco Show 💃
Flamenco show, followed by dinner.

Day 5: Farewell and Friendly Match

Morning: Friendly Match 🏆
Participate in a friendly game against a Local or National Team.
Post-match ceremony and group photo.

Afternoon: Leisure Time 🏛️
Visit the Prado Museum or the Reina Sofia Museum for cultural enrichment.

Evening: Farewell Dinner 🍽️
Farewell dinner and celebration at Botica, offering Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine.
Closing remarks and reflections on the trip.

DAY 6: Travel Day

Breakfast + Travel day✈️: return home with language basics, travel skills, new friends, and lifelong memories!

Madrid sits in the geographic centre of the Iberian Peninsula and has long been an important stop on any art tour through Europe. The famous Museo del Prado on the city's 'Museum Mile' houses important works by Spanish and European masters from the Renaissance onwards, while the Museo Thyssen-Bornemiza houses one of the most extensive private collections in the world. The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia is devoted to 20th century Spanish art, with works by Miro, Dali and Picasso.
