Faculty-Led Programs for Athletes combine study abroad + international play: a WIN-WIN for Athletes, Coaches, and Educators. Participants are able to earn credits directly from their Home Institution and apply Scholarship & Aide to the Program Fees PLUS play their sport abroad with international Teams in the Host Country, and/or take part in other Athletic Activities in addition to a Faculty-Led experience abroad.
Global Players facilitates the following:
68% of Coaches agree/strongly agree their Athletes should compete and train while abroad
– Global Players Survey (2018) with 830 responses from NCAA Coaches Division I, II, III
SPORTS
Open to ALL SPORTS*: Soccer, Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming & Diving, Track & Field, Tennis, Football & Rugby, Ice Hockey, Equestrian, Baseball & Softball, Rowing, Gymnastics, and more.
*To remain NCAA Compliant, there can be no class or program offered ONLY for Varsity Student-Athletes. Therefore this program should be promoted to Club Sports and the general student body, which is great for enrollment! However, in the selection process Varsity Student-Athletes may get preference due to their restricted schedule whereas general students may have opportunities for other international programs.
