How to add mini-INTERNSHIPS…and get MORE out of your Foreign Tour!

Our internship program Global Professionals, or GPro, won the GoAbroad Innovation Award for its unique design. It’s made by athletes for athletes because we understand that hybrid students require hybrid programs.

We’ve used the same principles from GPro to improve our Team Tours!

One great way to make your Team Tour feel like a mini intern abroad experience is by adding a COMPANY VISIT. When you choose this Tour Category, you’ll see where we have company visits in different locations.

Start the week with the Company Visit and ask beforehand for a project the Team can work on. It could be something the company needs feedback on, like branding, marketing, social media, or even a science or psychology project related to sports. Split the Team into smaller groups based on their skills. Tip: it’s better not to have all the Accounting students in one group!

Over the next few days, the smaller groups can work on the project and prepare a presentation. At the end of the week, the Team returns to the Company to present their ideas. Maybe afterward, the Company arranges a small get-together, like a happy hour or lunch. This is how you can make the most out of your Team Tour with a Company Visit that feels like a mini-internship for everyone!

This is an amazing way to: (1) visit an international office, (2) experience the Company’s culture, even if briefly, (3) work on a real business project, (4) connect with international professionals, and (5) potentially get an internship or job offer. Bonus: Parents and International Offices love to know about these activities!

Right now, we offer Company Visit options in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Dublin, Lisbon, Prague, Tokyo, and Valencia, Spain.

Life is about creating and living experiences that are worth sharing.
